NOTE: This course was recorded during a Thursday Think Box webinar on 14 May 2026.
Many churches today desire to be more inclusive of children with special needs—but often find themselves asking: Where do we begin, and how do we do this well for everyone?
This session seeks to move beyond awareness into thoughtful implementation. Inclusion is not just about making provisions for children with special needs—it involves building a culture of understanding, empathy, and shared responsibility across all stakeholders, including parents, teachers, leaders, and the wider ministry community. At the same time, it requires careful balancing, so that the needs of mainstream children and their families—such as safety, learning, and appropriate expectations—are also honoured.
Hear from two guest speakers with valuable experience and insight: Grace Fong, Vice Principal (Curriculum) at Grace Orchard School, and Carina Sim, Head of Partnerships at Koinonia Inclusion Network. This course will offer encouragement, grounded perspectives and sustainable strategies for building more inclusive ministry environments.
